Class Cooking / Baking Chef Gunawan March 2012

Cooking / baking Class Tart / Tartlette Instructor : Chef Gunawan Hj Jamil Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm Fee : RM200.00 per person Type : Demo and hands-on Date : 17 / 03 / 2012 Topic : •Mixing the tart crust/dough, chilling, prebaking, finishing •Making the tart filling •Students will learn how to make 5 types of dishes : Cheese tart, lemon meringue tart, chocolate tart, caramelized apple tart, chicken pot pie •Sizes of tart will be a mixture of round big tart pan and in small tartlets tin •Free recipes - Honey, walnut and ricotta pie, lamb and rosemary patties, salmon pie. Students will be able to taste and take home tart samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers. NO. OF STUDENT : Maximum of 10 students for each class. LOCATION : Taman Cheras Indah, Kuala Lumpur. Map is at the top page. Class Basic Bread Making Instructor : Chef Gunawan Hj Jamil Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm Fee : RM220.00 per person Type : Demo and hands-on Date : 24 / 03 / 2012 Topic : •Mixing the dough, kneading, rising, dividing and shaping the dough, glazing and baking. •Students will learn how to bake : Burger bun, soft roll, assorted doughnut & berliner, baguette, mexican bun. •Free recipes - Nut bread, chicken floss bread, coconut bread and raisin bread. Students will be able to taste and take home bread samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers.
Class Macaroon & Pavlova Instructor : Chef Gunawan Hj Jamil Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm Fee : RM220.00 per person Type : Demo and hands-on Date : 25 /03 / 2012 Topic : •Students will learn how to make 3 types of macarons : Chocolate, caramel and strawberry. •Making pavlova topped with fresh whipped cream and fruits. •3 Free recipes – Meringue biscuit, Vacherin ice cream with baked meringue and Meringue dippers. Students will be able to taste and take home tart samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers.
