LOCATION : Taman Cheras Indah, Kuala Lumpur.

CLASS 1 : BAKING FOR BEGINNERS

Instructor : Chef Gunawan Hj Jamil

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm

Fee : RM250.00 per person

Date : 5th Nov, 2011 (Saturday)

Type : Demo and semi hands-on

Topic :
•Preparing ingredients, cake mixing, lining cake tin, baking technique and oven use.
•Baking 5 varieties of classic cakes – Sponge cake, butter cake, chocolate cake, fruit cake and lemon cheesecake.
•4 Free recipes – Banana bread, hollandaise cake, fruit flan & meringue cake.

Students will be able to taste and take home cake samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers.

CLASS 2 : AUSTRIAN & DUTCH CAKES

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm

Fee : RM250.00 per person

Date : 12th Nov, 2011 (Saturday)

Type : Demo and semi hands-on

Topic :
•Preparing ingredients, cake mixing, lining cake tin, baking technique and oven use.
•Students will learn how to bake 5 varieties of cakes- (Sachertorte)Viennese Chocolate cake, apple cake, weiner gugelhupf (coffee cake), Austrian-style napolean cake and lemon poppy cake.
•Making the cake filling and glaze.
•4 Free recipes – coffee & walnut roulade, caramel peach gateau, banana coconut loaf cake & classic cherry cake.

Students will be able to taste and take home cake samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers.


CLASS 3 : COOKIES & BROWNIES

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm

Fee : RM200.00 per person

Date : 21st Oct, 2011 (Friday) and 25th Nov, 2011.

Type : Demo and semi hands-on

Topic :
•Preparing ingredients, mixing, baking technique and oven use.
•Students will learn how to bake 5 varieties – Brunsli ( Chocolate Chewy ), Gingerbread, almond/peanut brittle, walnut brownies and almond dark & white chocolate brownies.
•4 Free recipes – chocolate madeline cookie, choc pistachio biscotti, orange soufle cookies and meringue biscuit.

Students will be able to taste and take home cookie and brownies samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers


CLASS 4 : PIE, TART, STRUDEL

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm

Fee : RM250.00 per person

Date : 22nd Oct, 2011 (Saturday) and 18th Nov, 2011.

Type : Demo and semi hands-on

Topic :
•Preparing ingredients, mixing, lining cake tin, baking technique and oven use.
•Students will learn how to bake 5 varieties of pastry – Linzer torte, pineapple tartlet, apple strudel, chicken & mushroom pie & Cheese and spinach quiche.
•4 Free recipes - Sweet curd strudel, quiche lorraine, pear tart, pecan pie.

Students will be able to taste and take home food samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers.

CLASS 5 : BASIC BREAD MAKING

Time : One day course, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm

Fee : RM220.00 per person

Date : 19th Nov, 2011 (Saturday)

Type : Demo and semi hands-on

Topic :
•Mixing the dough, kneading, rising, dividing and shaping the dough, glazing and baking.
•Students will learn how to bake 7 varieties of bread : Burger bun, soft roll, Mexican bun, French bread (baguette), pizza dough, cheese bread and sausage roll.
•6 Free recipes - Nut bread, chicken floss bread, coconut bread, pita bread and raisin bread.

Students will be able to taste and take home bread samples. Items to bring - apron, kitchen towel, pen, cake box or containers.
